How LearningTracker helps

We all observe our children. We watch what they can do and think about how they are progressing. We celebrate their achievements and worry about the things that challenge them. By observing our children, we can see where they are making good progress and where they may need more help and instruction.
Informed decision making
Accurate, evidence-based information empowers us all. Knowledge of how our children are progressing guides how we support our children's development and education.
Yet, finding the right information at the right time can be challenging. There is no shortage of advice to be found online. Unfortunately, much of it is not consistent with the available scientific evidence and informed best practice.
And, even with high quality information from trusted sources, it is not always easy to know how to apply recommendations to each individual child, taking account of their current stage of development and their unique strengths and challenges.
By making it easy to record observations of children's development and by connecting observations to informed advice, we hope to make it easy to quickly focus on the things that matter most for each individual child.
Meeting every need
All children are unique. We are all better at some things than at others.
Different children progress at different rates in different areas of development. Some will find socialising with other children easier than others. Some children will learn to walk faster than others. And some children will learn to talk easily while others will find it more difficult.
For children with identified additional or specific needs, observing development may be more important but also more complicated.
Some children with additional needs progress quite slowly in some areas of development. On some measures designed for typically developing children, children with additional needs may appear to be making very limited progress or no progress at all.
By gathering information about each child's development, we can present measures that are sensitive to every child's individual rates of progress, helping parents and professionals see where progress is being made, even if it is in small steps. We can use the information gathered to provide detailed information, recommendations and teaching activities that are carefully targeted to best match each child's needs
Supporting better partnerships
In many countries, families and children are supported by a variety of education and healthcare professionals. From paediatric care to school education, doctors, therapists and teachers help us to care for and nurture our children.
By making it easy to collect and share information about our children's development, we hope to better support communication and collaboration between families and professionals.
Advancing understanding

Children's development is complex and there is much we do not understand about it. For children with less common patterns of development, we often understand even less.
Scientific research is expensive and the funds available for research are increasingly limited. Collecting data on children's development at scale in home and school settings can be prohibitively expensive - particularly for groups of children with less common patterns of development.
By making it easy to record observations about children over time, and by collaborating with researchers, we hope to accelerate scientific progress and advance our understanding of children's development and learning and how best to meet their needs.
By connecting researchers more directly with families and professionals and real-world data, we hope to shorten the time it can take for new scientific advances to deliver real benefits in children's daily lives - and to focus scientific attention on the issues that matter the most in practice.
A platform for the future

In the past, it was not possible to provide everyone with expert advice and personalised guidance whenever and wherever they wanted it. Modern technologies are now helping to make this a reality.
LearningTracker offers every family access to expert, evidence-based advice, tailored to their child's unique needs - accessible anytime from almost any device.
Underpinning this, we have built a platform that is secure, scalable and flexible and that will continue to evolve to take advantage of new technological and scientific advances. From digital speech analysis, hearing assessments through to individual education plans driven by insights from machine learning - there are countless opportunities to further develop this platform to enhance children's development and education.
By adopting new technologies to develop intelligent, data-driven and highly personalised support services for families and professionals, we are changing how we deliver evidence-based advice, information and support to families and professionals around the world.
We hope that these new services will help us to better support you and the children you care for.
